Outside in natural light
It is so weird looking at these photos, because I now have NEW HAIR! Writing this post last night all ready for this morning was creeping me out. I now look completely different. I think I look better. Seeing the "old" me is weirding me out. Head on over to my facebook page to check out the pics if you are inpatient, if not, you will be able to see my NEW HAIR tomorrow when I show you the second of the wonderful new palettes from NP Set - the Glam Palette.
This is my interpretation of a look from the NP Set Red Carpet Palette, something that I would actually wear. I am sorry Mr Perdis but my green eyes are not right for blue eyeshadow, and so the lovely bronzey colour it was for me. I love this bronze colour. Neutral, soft and shimmery. Gorgeous.
My favourite part of the NP Set Red Carpet Palette is the blush - swirl them both together and you get a lovely pop of apricot peachy pink delightfulness which makes me smile. Watch out though, this blush is very highly pigmented. In reality that is a good thing, until you apply too much!
I used the red lip product in the palette, hoping for it to be a very bright, pigmented lipstick. Instead it is a very sheer lipstick with a balmy texture. It feels lovely on, and gives my lips a wonderful "my lips but better" look. What a lovely surprise!
That is the items in the palette to create this look. While the palette might look a little terrifying on shelf (all that blue!) it is very easy to create a wearable look. The blue could even be used as a liner and still be amazingly wearable, if you are that way inclined. I am a neutral eyes and bright lips kinda girl, so I personally steered clear of the blue.
The rest of my makeup included:
MAC Pro Longwear Foundation
Smashbox High Definition Concealer
Essence Stay Natural Concealer
Australis Ready Set Go Translucent Powder
MAC Bronzer in Golden
Rimmel Professional Eyeliner in Black
Models Prefer Eyebrow pencil in light
Rimmel ScandalEyes Mascara
Tomorrow I bring you the look I created with the new NP Set Glam Palette. Stay tuned for that one! Plus, I show you my NEW HAIR! (Can't half tell I am excited about it, right?).

No wonder the blush is your favourite, it looks amazing on!
ReplyDeleteNot looking anything like what I would have expected seeing the palette.
Looking forward to tomorrows blog :)
I looooove the blushes in this palette too! And I personally think you'd look nice with the beige colour and gold on the lids with a light lashing of the blue on the lower lashline. :P
ReplyDelete*goes to stalk your FB page for pictures of new hair*
You make everything look so classy xox
ReplyDeleteLove this love on you!! Glad you could make the palette work! I find the combinations of colours to be so odd... But I love the unique blushers!!!!!! ^_^
ReplyDeleteSaw this at Target the other day, the blushes really stood out for me - they were so pigmented!
