Skin Juice Pulp Cleansing Paste

I promised this review way back when, when I first went and got my skin assessed by my beauty therapist (I am talking round about January this year. Yeah, AGES ago).  Beauty Therapist told me that my skin was stressed out, really dry and therefore overcompensating with oil to try and rehydrate it. Which in turn meant that I had an overproduction of sebum. Which meant I had a heap of blocked pores and pimples.

Beauty Therapist gave me this routine, which I stuck to for about 2 weeks. Then I stopped using the tonic as a morning cleanser because it felt weird. I like to wash my face with something. I just changed it to my regular toner, and away we go - perfect skin routine for me.

The routine was as follows:

1. Quench Tonic in morning, as a toner at night (which has now been replaced by this, I think). This is because this is a more gentle way to cleanse your skin, and my skin was super stressed out.
2. Pulp Cleanser at night
3. Trilogy Eye Cream
3. Rosehip oil (I use the Akin brand)
5. citrus day cream (which is absolutely and utterly amazingly beautiful, I may have to do another post on this soon)

I have stuck with some of this routine, however I have also changed some of it up. I have tried out different cleansers (as makeup removers, not as my real cleansers) and different day time moisturizers (I prefer something with sunscreen) and eye creams. My skin is starting to act up again though, so I am going to have to go back to this prescription religiously.

Dear little rosehip oil has been my go to moisturizer since I got the program (because my skin didn't need any other products clogging it up,) and I have stuck with the Pulp Cleanser since I was given this program TEN MONTHS AGO. Every time I try something something new without the pulp cleanser, my skin chucks a spaz and I have to make an emergency trip to pick some more up.

Basically, this cleanser and my skin work in perfect harmony together. It really clears up my pimples, and calms my skin down. In easy to read, list form, reasons why I love this cleanser:

1.  It is a Australian White Clay based paste. I tried out a cleansing oil for a little while when I first was on this range, and I didn't really like that I had to wipe all the product off. So I asked to swap to this cleanser, because I can wash it off with water. I just feel cleaner when I use a cleanser with water. Plus, Clay helps with oily skin (like mine).

2. This cleanser contains fantastic actives such as White Willow, Wild Lime, Lactic Acid and Salicyclic acids. These help to reduce congestion in your skin.

3. The paste is very gently exfoliating. Not enough to set my skin off, just enough to make sure that my skin can breathe.

4. I really like that I can wash my face and it doesn't feel tight and sore after washing. The paste contains a few theraputic oils as well, which help to maintain moisture in my skin whilst gently cleansing (which my skin needs, because it is dry. Confusing much?).

The only thing that I don't like about this cleanser is that it doesn't remove makeup. A remedy easily fixed by using a make-up removing cleanser first.

Basically, my skin loves Skin Juice. Other reasons why I love this range:

1. It is a nutriceutical range which focuses on natural and organic products. I really prefer to put as many natural products on my skin (your skin is the biggest organ, after all), and my skin and scalp really act up with harsh detergents. This means that these products are perfect for me. According to Skin Juice they focus on "Green Actives", therefore you get products which really work, without subjecting your skin to too many chemicals.

2. This company is so green minded, that even the packaging is made from biodegradable material, which they encourage you to compost. This really appeals to the hippie in me. Plus, the company is Australian. This appeals to the patriot in me.

3. It works. That is all that really needs to be said.
